With the arrival of the Christmas season, a gala dinner was celebrated at our Ocean World Theater to share and thank valued members of authorities, associations, press, and companies in return for the collaboration and support received throughout this successful year.
Diego Tripaldi, our Regional Director, addressed guests thanking “the authorities, for joining efforts with us and guaranteeing a high level of service, to the members of the press for being spokespersons for the achievements of this great family since the beginning of our operations, to the tour operators who are our great supporters on a day-to-day basis, to the associations that have worked for the unification and consensus of the destination’s interests, and also to all the members of Amber Cove and Taino Bay, which today are the recipients of thousands of tourists who visit us every day, in general, my deepest thanks to all colleagues in the industry for the collaboration,” he said.
We also shared information on the improvements made in our attractions, such as the expansion of the aviaries and the sea lion and bird stadiums, a new bar on Dolphin Beach, a gift shop, and a new fully equipped restaurant. for the celebration of events at the park. In addition, we created new spaces for interactive programs, hammocks, and chairs on the Ocean trail World Promenade and inaugurated a new Aquapark at our beach. Our Ocean World Terrace, an iconic place in Puerto Plata since 2007, has also been expanded. All these projects are aligned with the company’s commitment to sustainability, conservation, and community development.
We also announce this summer of 2022 has been the best summer of the last 10 years. Thanks to the support of Dominicans who come with their families from every corner of the country to visit Ocean World. These families also, stay in hotels in the city, visit local restaurants, and all of this undoubtedly boosts the local economy. This was also possible, thanks to the sustained growth of clients received at our facility from both ports.
The company’s commitment has always been to support the development of the destination and the country, which is why we strive, as much as possible, that all jobs, at all levels, are filled by Dominicans with the desire to grow and develop within a constantly innovative company, today we have 370 collaborators and 98% are Dominican. Not only the family of collaborators has grown, but also the families of species that we care for such as dolphins, sea lions, exotic birds, and flamingos.
As envisioned by our founder, Mr. Ludwig Alfred Meister, whom we will always remember in moments like this, for the love he had for Puerto Plata and the country. His legacy commits us to provide excellence in the services and products we offer.
